This is a thoughtful post and I agree with the sentiment in general. My take on it, though, is that I dont really see the example posts as rude or mean. In the example(s) provided, the blog post specifically *asks* for feedback, and then the comments give just that, honestly. So, are we to assume that the only type of feedback desired is that of agreement? A true conversation allows for others to express their own opinions, with neither party assuming a disagreement of aesthetic equates to a personal attack.
