We held a Joint Reading Group, combining three reading groups in one session, to discuss the book. The verdict was that the book was a good easy read, overall generally enjoyable but several members of the group were irritated, like Carol, by Harold’s lack of equipment or money and his refusal to do anything positive about it. The question that caused the most discussion was ” Is walking miles alone the way to sort out your problems?”
