Last Friday, a friend and I visited the Miljonair Fair. Not that we are millionaires, probably not even together, but Amsterdam Diamond Center (part of Gassan link Diamonds) gave us tickets to come to the show.After going through (a lot of) security upon our arrival, we squeezed into an elevator that took us to the top floor of the building. It wasn’t long before all of the watches were placed on a large table in the middle of the room. Dozens of watches issued by Comex, the Marine Nationale, the South African Navy, and many more were on display. Enough said. Feast your eyes on the many, many watches assembled on a memorable day.The medium vs. large debate is, in most cases, a personal one. That's true here to an extent, but the lack of a date on the medium model makes it a better design in my opinion. Also, the proportions of the Santos work much better in a smaller size. The large actually looks like a blown up version of the smaller watch rather than something that was meant to be that size from the beginning. It's not bad by any means, but I'll take the medium all day over the large.It wasn’t my last mistake. As the 1990s progressed, so too did the popularity of digital watches wrapped in thick layers of black rubber.
